Corjan writes pop songs with a head, a tail and a story in between.
Currently Corjan is working on the Mystery Pop project. In 2010, the artist will release an album containing songs that are all inspired by books from the Mystery genre. The songs will have the titles of the books they were inspired by and will be endorsed by their authors. Featured will be an A-list of international bestselling authors including Kathleen McGowan (the Book of Love), Patrice Chaplin (City of Secrets), Philip Gardiner (the Bond Code) and Philippa Faulks (the Masonic Magician).
In 2010, Corjan’s music will be part of three British films. ‘Back Slasher’ and ‘Cam Girl’ are small DVD productions. The Stone is a major release in which Corjan will act as well as perform a song live.
Corjan (last name “de Raaf“) is well known in the international world of Mystery Hunters for his contributions to the research into the Mystery of Rennes-le-Château. The enigma around the French priest Bérenger Saunière who became rich and powerful almost overnight after he had made a mysterious discovery, has captivated audiences for decades and inspired countless books. Today, Corjan de Raaf’s website RLC Research is one of the biggest and most authoritative english sites in the field. At the same time, De Raaf has published a large number of audio interviews with authors and researchers in the genre on Radio Rennessence, a mystery podcast website.
Corjan’s musical career took off in September 2005 when he was the first artist in the world to launch a single on a USB Memory Stick (check & check). His USB-Single Thief occupied the first position of the Dutch Legal Download Top100 for 5 consecutive weeks.
